LAWRENCE LIVE!: “This Light of Ours” Maltz Museum – Cleveland, Ohio

Lawrence LemonBlog Series Vol. 2, Lawrence Lemon

In this episode of Lawrence Live! I give my viewers an inside view of the private exhibition tour of  This Light of Ours: Activist Photographers of the Civil Rights Movement, a current exhibition at the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage in Cleveland, Ohio, presented by Hue Enterprise and Word of Mouth.  The exhibit features more than 150 black-and-white images chronicling the Southern Freedom Movement.  “This Light of Ours” features works by nine activist photographers Bob Adelman, George Ballis, Bob Fitch, Bob Fletcher, Matt Herron, David Prince, Herbert Randall, Maria Varela and Tamio Wakayama.  This is definitely a must seem exhibit and is appropriate for a family outing, date night, personal enjoyment, or as educational and professional development.

“This Light of Ours” was truly an amazing experience that took me on an emotional journey filled with sadness, frustration, yet ultimately a refreshed sense of purpose and pride. I encourage you to plan to take a trip to Cleveland, Ohio and witness “This Light of Ours” firsthand.  You will not regret it!
