Hey there everybody!!  I hope you all enjoyed your extended weekend last week.  It was a great end to an amazing summer and now we can look forward to fall.  Just because it’s cooler outside doesn’t mean the fun has to stop.  We have plenty events to check out this week so let’s see what’s going on and get started!

Although the summer is filled with family friendly festivals, fall has quite a few that will be just as enjoyable.  The Ohio Bacon Fest will be held this Friday at the Columbus Commons from 5 – 10:30 p.m.  Indulge in bacon wrapped everything through restaurants and food trucks that will be present with live entertainment and refreshing beverage options as well.  Admission will be $5 and you can visit www.ohiolovesbacon.com for additional information.

There’ll be some great cultural festivals to attend this weekend.  The Egyptian Festival will be held at the St. Mary Coptic Orthodox Church throughout the entire weekend.  Experience the heritage through food, activities, henna, photos, a church tour, and more.  Click here for more information.  Have some island fun at the Columbus Caribbean Festival being held this Saturday at Genoa Park.  Beginning at noon, this festival will celebrate the life and culture from the Caribbean islands through performances, food, vendors, family fun, and more.  This is a free event and you can visit www.columbuscaribbeanfestival.com for more info.

It’s never too early to get started on next year’s summer body.  You can do so by attending BeyFit which is an awesome workout event using the sounds of Queen Bey herself, Beyoncé.  This season’s finale was postponed to this week due to weather conditions last week so head over to Blackburn Park at 10:04 a.m. this Saturday for your last chance to attend this event.  The cost is a $5 donation and it’s suggested to bring a mat and water bottle.  Another great workout event to check out will be the Natural Girls Workout featuring Trap or R&B Yoga.  The event requires pre-registration so click here to sign up for one or both classes.

Let us unwind with some nightlife entertainment this weekend.  There will be an All Black Affair taking place at the York Mason Building.  There will be a DJ, cash bar, best dressed award, and a raffle all for an admission of $10 in advance or $15 at the door.  The party will be this Saturday beginning at 9 p.m. so click here to purchase your tickets.  Don’t forget to kick off your weekend with the best Friday night party in the city, HERE FRIDAYS at Copious.  This week will feature a live performance from Meridith Evans with Luxury Brown Lite.  Tickets are still available and you can get yours here

I’m surprised at how many great events are taking place this weekend.  I know there’s so many more that you can find especially if you use our new app, MYLE.  Download it today to browse through all the categories to find more of what you’re looking for.   But I’ll continue to do my best to find what I can for you each and every week.  So come back next time and until then, be safe and take care.  Deuces!!
