Maco was hospitalized for two weeks following a gunshot wound

Maco, born Benedict Chiajulam Ihesiba Jr., had been hospitalized since Dec. 12 following a gunshot wound to the head, per TMZ.

Sources familiar with the situation confirmed that Maco’s coma had worsened, and he went into critical condition. Hospital staff were unable to revive him.

Before his death, doctors struggled to get a brain scan in an attempt to flush the toxins out of Maco’s body.

There were earlier reports of his death circulating on social media following the incident.
