Rapper King Harris, the son of T.I. and Tameka “Tiny” Harris, faces multiple charges after being arrested early Sunday during a traffic stop in Gwinnett County, Georgia.
Why did King Harris get arrested?
Harris, 21, has been charged with possession of a Schedule II substance, willful obstruction of law enforcement officers, speeding at least 24 mph over the limit and a seat belt violation, according to Gwinnett County jail records obtained by USA Today.
TMZ reported the “New King of the South” artist was speeding at 60 mph in a 45 mph zone at around 1 a.m. After approaching the vehicle, officers noticed a firearm near Harris and ordered him out of the car, but he refused. Harris also had a vape pen on him, with 10 milligrams of THC inside.
Harris was arrested around 2:30 a.m. and released on bond just after 8 a.m., according to USA Today.

This incident isn’t the first Harris has had with law enforcement. In October 2024, the then-19-year-old was arrested in Dunwoody, Georgia, after nearly hitting an officer as he left a gas station. After officers pulled him over, they approached the vehicle and smelled marijuana. They also noticed the rapper had a gun on his hip and ordered him to put his hands on the steering wheel. He was arrested and taken to DeKalb County Jail, according to WSB-TV.
